Question: Why Kids?

I have a question I know is really odd - but, not to me. It is not meant to be offensive, I just want to understand something that doesn't exist in me

Why do people want to have kids?

Is it a feeling like you want to hold something? Or because an age or the experience of guiding a child is fun and fulfilling? Is it because children look cute?

I have lived most of my life - even before I was sexually developed - explaining why I do not want to have children. Mostly I have been met with, "you'll change your mind."

So, world - why do you want to have children? Keep in mind - if you comment - I am open to these ideas and thoughts. I really want to understand more about people who aren't like me because I think it's cool.
